This was a volunteering event that MSAK participated in and is an annual project conducted by Seoul city hall. The purpose is to help those who are less privileged by delivering free coal to houses of elderly people around Korea for better house heating throughout the cold winter.
The event brought together new and old members together. There was a lot of enthusiasm and positive energy. We tried to bridge a good relationship with the coordinator from City Hall and make a lasting good impression on the owners of the houses we have delivered to. Involved among members, were also brothers from Yemen who have sought the asylum status in Korea.
In all, I would conclude this event to be not only successful but unexpectedly fruitful, as this was an excellent event for team building and inviting new members. Most importantly, it was inspirational and motivating, as one could see and experience the good affect the event had, first hand.
